Visit to the pilot proyect of Reshealience of Rover Maritime
On the 20th September 2021, Rover Maritime pilot received the visit of the attendees to the congress "RILEM-fib X International Symposium on Fibre Reinforced Concrete BEFIB2021" organized by the Polytechnic University of Valencia and it is recognized.
As the main reference in research and scientific advances in Fibre Reinforced Concrete (FRC).
The visit to the pilot project has been well recognised among researchers and professionals with experience in concrete engineering due to the attendees had the opportunity to know, to inspect all the technical details and visit the inside of an structure made entirely of ultra-high-resistance concrete reinforced with steel fibres.
This project pilot, developed thanks to the European Reshealience project, was installed in the beginning of 2021 and reproduces at scale a partial floating concrete platform for offshore wind turbines. Currently, is in continuous monitoring of the parameters related to durability (intensity and potential for corrosion, among others) in order to assess the material behaviour in a highly aggressive environment such as the marine environment, due to the presence of chlorides and the risk of corrosion that their penetration into concrete implies.
