Sellado Túnel
The objective of this project was the study and design of an application methodology based on the development of new bi-component resins, capable of solving the high number of water leaks that appeared at the joints of the segments of the tunnel section in Metro Madrid that connects the stations Barrio del Puerto and Hospital de Henares. For the successful development of the project, the application of new knowledge about waterproofing materials is of vital importance, as well as new application methodologies capable of putting a stop to the dramatic situation that affects this particular civil engineering work.
