MQ-PH-30 hydraulic gantries

The main advantage of these gantries over other track renewal systems is their high productivity. Their fast working movement speed, able to transport track pairs up to 16 m at a speed of 18 km/h, is far superior to the 3 km/h speed achieved by caterpillar systems.

They work in pairs, lifting, moving and positioning assembled track. They are able to extract embedded track from ballast and have a load capacity of 30 MT. They operate on auxiliary track laid outside and parallel to the track being worked on, with a rail span of 3.5 metres, and can be transported on railway wagons without causing clearance problems.

They are fully hydraulic and radio-controlled, but can also be manually controlled. They are fitted with an auxiliary pump motor to prevent interruptions to operation should the main motor fail.
