Occupational Health and Safety Technician

Prepare the project’s Health and Safety Plans and any appendices, and ensure compliance with them.
Ensure the proper implementation of health and safety measures on site.
Act as the main point of contact on site with the Construction Management team and the Health and Safety Coordinator on matters related to Occupational Health and Safety.
Collaborate with the production team on Occupational Health and Safety matters.
Prepare any Occupational Health and Safety documentation required by the Construction Management team, the Health and Safety Coordinator or the Labour Authorities.
Maintain the company’s Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems on site, coordinating with the Site Manager and the Contractor’s Representative.
Verify the Occupational Health and Safety documentation of workers, work equipment and companies involved in the project.
Keep Occupational Health and Safety documentation up to date and properly filed.
Organise and lead the project’s Health and Safety Committees.
Deliver any necessary Occupational Health and Safety training.
Lead internal and external audits carried out on the project.
Report to the Central Occupational Health and Safety Department, preparing any required reports.

University degree in a construction-related field, preferably Engineering, Technical Engineering, Architecture or Technical Architecture.
Master’s degree or equivalent higher-level qualification in Occupational Health and Safety.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Occupational Health and Safety roles on construction projects.
Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
Advanced proficiency in office software tools.
Knowledge of software for the coordination of business activities and experience with ISO 45001/OHSAS management systems will be considered an advantage.
