As priorities in our innovation efforts, we have focused on improving our internal management systems, as well as enhancing products and services in the railway, maritime, and water management and treatment sectors.
Rover Group founded SOFTIN SISTEMAS in 1998, and since then it has been an innovative and pioneering company dedicated to software development. Its main objective is to place innovation and the development of proprietary software at the service of the group’s companies, providing powerful tools capable of improving the organization’s adaptation to the changing needs of the market.
The high level of expertise of its engineers, combined with the use of innovative and efficient programming tools, guarantees the successful development of business projects.
Its three flagship management tools are: MastrerCost, MasterLic, and MasterRec.
MasterCost is an advanced budgeting and cost control management system that enables continuous improvement in project outcomes. It allows us to accurately leverage extensive business knowledge, enhancing our competitiveness and overall performance.
Its advanced corporate reporting system provides real-time information, dashboards, and management, production, and budget control reports. In other words, it creates a solid foundation for strategic decision-making, helping to increase competitiveness ratios, quantify risks, and enable timely correction of deviations, among other benefits. MasterRec is an advanced system for the management and evaluation of human resources throughout the entire employment lifecycle. It enables flexible employee management by organizational units, workplaces, and projects.
MasterRec includes an advanced time tracking system that uses biometrics and geolocation, allowing automated management of working hours, while also serving as an important workplace safety measure. Additionally, through its powerful contract management tool, it automates the entire process of payroll calculation, advances, settlements, and compensation.
Other key features include: employee leave management, personnel expense control and work reports, talent management (allowing employees to be evaluated based on the achievement of their objectives), and training management.
MasterLic is an advanced system for the management and monitoring of conducted studies, published tenders, and bid openings, including full control of all required documentation: management timelines, bond control, management of supporting documents, monitoring of other bidders, opportunity analysis, decision status tracking, award rates, etc.
It provides centralized access to all information related to a project during the bidding and award phases. In addition, it enables the optimization of bids and projects submitted by the group to any type of administration: national, regional, and local. The system also allows the generation of strategic insights based on statistics collected over different periods, classified by both bidding companies and contracting authorities.
MasterView is an advanced visualization system that provides an aerial view of different projects through high-quality images captured by an AESA-authorized drone.
Drone flights are carried out on-site, and all the collected information is stored in an organized, accessible, and user-friendly way within MasterView. As a result, this tool serves as a powerful georeferenced document management system, allowing users to navigate to a specific chainage or exact georeferenced coordinate of a project and monitor its progress on a month-by-month basis.
MasterView is used both for ongoing projects and for the group’s various tenders, offering extensive insight into the works to be carried out without the need to travel to their location.
MasterPlan is a collaborative planning system that integrates all stakeholders involved in a project: site teams, technical office, subcontractors, and key suppliers, promoting participation and commitment to meeting deadlines.
Through collaborative sessions using highly visual, large-format tools, space-time diagrams are developed to define project planning in a clear and simple way. These serve as the basis for weekly reviews of planned versus executed work, identifying schedule deviations, their causes, and the parties involved, enabling timely corrective actions.
This approach simplifies the analysis of project execution, helping to detect ineffective solutions, encouraging the evaluation of alternatives, and anticipating potential execution issues.
At Rover Group, we are committed to BIM, integrating it as a working methodology across ongoing projects of various types (rail, maritime, building, etc.).
As part of the company’s continuous development, in November 2021 we obtained certification under the BIM standard UNE-EN ISO 19650 from AENOR, which accredits the proper implementation of the BIM methodology in construction projects.
We have a BIM Management System that defines the standards and working procedures required to achieve the BIM objectives for each project. This enables a fast and efficient application of the BIM methodology through our own resources, processes, and documentation.
The main BIM benefits we achieve include: improved collaboration and communication among all project stakeholders, visualization of the project before construction, optimized quantity take-offs, reduced on-site errors, cost savings, shorter execution times, increased productivity, and enhanced transparency.
Rover Group is a highly digitalized company that manages massive and complex volumes of data. As the organization has grown, so too have the volume, variety, and speed of incoming data. For this reason, its Big Data department enables the processing and analysis of data to optimize the decisions led by the company.
This is achieved through the use of algorithms and computational data mining techniques—that is, the appropriate mathematical tools which, in the context of Big Data, allow the analysis and management of massive and complex datasets that cannot be processed using traditional methods. After modeling, validation, and implementation, these tools serve as a strategy for optimizing Rover Group’s processes and decision-making.
