Construction of the Raos 9 Pier of 291m in length formed by 6 crates of reinforced concrete lightened with rectangular cells.

The Santander Port Authority has awarded Rover Maritime in UTE with Ciomar the construction of Raos Pier 9. The project, worth almost 25 million euros, has an execution period of 18 months.

The main units that comprise the work are:

– Auxiliary mota and soil treatment: A soil treatment will be carried out using gravel columns to ensure the stability of the dock, the stoveboard screen and the slopes during the dredging phase.

– Alkion Terminals protection elements: A screen of stoveboards will be installed to reduce the damage to the esplanade where the current concession of ALKION TERMINALS is located and which is not affected by dredging for the dock foundation.

– Excavation of existing auxiliary mota for the execution of the soil treatment, as well as of the current esplanade at -11.50.

– A dredging in the dock foundation zone at -17.50 m, except at the northern end that will be dredged at -18.00 m and at the southern end that will be dredged at -16.00.

– Execution of caged drawers on a bench supported on the ground previously treated with gravel columns.

– The dock, 291m long, will be formed by 6 crates of reinforced concrete lightened with rectangular cells with 48.23m length, 19,2m width and 18.25m point. The crowning height of the drawers will be +3.7

– Superstructure and equipment: The superstructure will consist of an HA-30 reinforced concrete beam cantil, topped at +6.50m, with a section of 4.78m x 2.75m along the dock. An HA reinforced concrete rear beam with a constant section of 1.70 m wide and 2.75 m high will be provided, which will also be crowned at +6.50 m. On the cantil beam, defenses for docking and bollards for mooring ships will be arranged.

– Lateral closing motions and general filling execution for the formation of the esplanade.

– Paving of 22,500 m2 and service networks for the new dock.
