Award of the Master CO2 project: Computer vision system with drone for the geometric characterization of material volumes in linear work and minimization of the carbon footprint associated with its transport
Supported by IVACE+i, #RetoIvaceInnova the project has a budget of €510,650 co-financed by the European Union with #ERDF funds. For its execution it will have the participation of ONTHEFLADS (OTF), software development company specialized in innovative solutions based on I.A. and in the implementation of advanced applications of image recognition.
MasterCO2 is a computer vision system with drone for the precision geometric modeling of volumes of materials used in large linear works (railways and roads), which will allow its automatic cubicle in order to optimize transport.
The main objective is the design and implementation of an advanced system in the automatic characterization of material and its subsequent shipment to the construction site, for the optimization of transport minimizing their carbon footprint. For this, flights will be executed with sensors embarked on drones, over trench zones, using the latest technology in computer vision for calculation of cubicles. In a second analysis, the optimization of cubicle material transports will be carried out, minimizing the associated carbon footprint, applying dynamic algorithms to virtualize the work.
The project is part of ROVER’s ethical and environmental commitment to carry out its construction activity in a sustainable and responsible way, motivated by the reduction of GHG emissions, with the ecological and sustainable transition being one of its fundamental pillars.
