Rover’s construction work on the Bolnou Blue Views housing development in Vilajoyosa (Alicante) is progressing at a good pace, according to the established schedule, with delivery scheduled for 2023.

This is the first development on the coast of Rover, a residential development of 66 holiday homes located in the Montiboli area, which stands out for its unbeatable panoramic views and common areas (swimming pool, jacuzzis, gym, children’s area, social club and green areas).

The development takes its name from Cala Bolnou, located in front of the residential, which is also very close to beaches such as Paraíso, Asparalló, Cala Higuera or La Caleta. Just 1.5 km from Villajoyosa (and 8 km from Benidorm and 15 minutes from Alicante), the residential complex consists of five buildings of terraced houses, arranged on top of each other, so that all have views of the Mediterranean sea and the mountains of Puig Campana.

It has three types of housing – terraced, duplex and attic – configured with large and open spaces of minimalist vocation, so that the sea and light are the protagonists.

Construction process

Construction is now being carried out simultaneously in several phases. It has required significant earthmoving work, to achieve an adequate implementation of the building on the ground.

The plot is located on a rocky slope of very irregular topography, with the complexity of needing different types of supports to form the platforms on which the houses are raised. The systems include walls of blocks reinforced with fiber meshes anchored to the ground, the formation of barrier walls and the temporary or permanent construction of reinforced concrete walls. On the other hand, it has been necessary to ‘cut’ the rock until reaching the support levels (extracting a total of 21,000 m3).

Currently the work presents buildings in foundation, structure and others in deck and masonry, and are beginning the activities of urbanization and installations.
