Rover Concessions closes the financing of a road concession in Uruguay for $106 million

The operation has a financing of 106 million dollars from BBVA, Banco de la República Oriental del Uruguay (BROU) and the Inter-American Investment Corporation (BID)

The contract involves the construction of about 80 kilometers of roads with an investment of 144 million dollars and 20 years of concessional term

The value of the project, including operation and maintenance of roads, amounts to $144 million and its financing has been made possible by agreements reached with BBVA, Banco de la República Oriental del Uruguay (BROU) and the Inter-American Investment Corporation.  (BID )

Rover Infrastructures, an integrated company within the Rover Group, will be responsible for the construction of nearly 80 kilometers of tracks and their subsequent maintenance and conservation. To this end, it has established an alliance with the Uruguayan company Construcciones Viales y Civiles S.A., with which it has formed the society “circuito 6 Cuchilla Grande” integrated by both companies for the development of the aforementioned activities.

The performance involves intervention in almost 80 kilometers of tracks between the towns of Belloni and San Ramón, in the Department of Canelones, although it also affects the departments of Montevideo (by the South) and Florida (by the North). Most of the route runs above the existing route, except in the vicinity of the town of San Ramón, where a by-pass will be built to the east of the urban core. In addition to the road intervention, the contract also includes the extension and reinforcement of 10 existing bridges and the construction of 6 new ones.
