Rover strengthens its position in Poland with two new contracts

29.09.2022. Rover consolidates its presence in Poland, where it has been operating since 2014, adding two new works contracts worth around €38.5 million. This concerns, on the one hand, the construction of the Bodzechów-Sandomierz section of railway line 25 for the client PKP, a Polish rail transport operator, and the extension and refurbishment of an intermodal container terminal in Brzeg Dolny for PCC Intermodal, manufacturer of specialty chemicals.

The works on the railway project involve an investment of more than 30.7 million euros and include, among others, the execution of eight kilometers of track and catenary, as well as the demolition and construction of three viaducts, two subways, the demolition of two railway traffic control centers – and the new construction of one of them -, the reconstruction of two level steps and a platform at Dwikozy station. Accompanying facilities such as those for controlling rail traffic, sanitary, drainage, electrical and telecommunications will also be built. The construction of the Bodzechów-Sandomierz section is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2023.

Por su parte, los trabajos de ampliación y remodelación de la terminal de contenedores en Brzeg Dolny, en las afueras de la ciudad polaca de Wrocław, contemplan la construcción de dos vigas de hormigón armado, de aproximadamente 660 metros de longitud, que se construirán sobre dos líneas de unos 330 pilotes cada una, que servirán como cimentación para las necesidades del montaje de dos carriles sobre los que circularán en un futuro tres grúas para contenedores, que realizarán las tareas de carga y descarga en la relación ferrocarril-camión. Asimismo, se construirán infraestructuras adjuntas y se reconstruirá el sistema de vías del apartadero ferroviario. La inversión en este proyecto asciende a más de 7,7 millones de euros y se prevé que los trabajos concluyan en agosto de 2023.
