Visit Reshealience de Rover Maritime Project
The pilot project Reshealience of Rover Maritime received on 20 September 2021 the visit of the attendees of the tenth edition of the congress “RILEM-fib X International Symposium on Fibre Reinforced Concrete BEFIB2021” organized by the Polytechnic University of Valencia.
It is recognized as the main reference in research and scientific advances of Fiber-Reinforced Concrete (FRC).
It has been a very interesting visit since the attendees, who are researchers and professionals with experience in concrete engineering have had the opportunity to meet, inspect on site all technical details and visit the interior of this structure made entirely of ultra-high strength concrete reinforced with steel fibers.
This pilot project, developed thanks to the European project Reshealience, is installed since early 2021 in the Port of Sagunto and reproduces at scale what would be a part of the floating concrete platform for offshore wind turbines. Currently, it is in the phase of monitoring parameters related to durability (intensity and potential corrosion, among others) to assess the behavior of concrete in a highly aggressive environment such as marine, due to the presence of chlorides and the risk of corrosion that their penetration into concrete implies.
