Tunnel sealing
The objective of this project was the study and design of an application methodology based on the development of new bi‑component resins, capable of providing a solution to the high number of water leakages occurring at the segment joints in the tunnel section of the Madrid Metro line connecting the stations of Barrio del Puerto and Hospital de Henares.
For the successful development of the project, the application of new knowledge in waterproofing materials, as well as the implementation of innovative application methodologies, was essential in order to address and mitigate the severe issues affecting this specific civil engineering structure.
