The AICEDRONE project — “ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE SYSTEM APPLIED TO HIGH‑PRECISION GEOMETRIC MODELING IN CIVIL ENGINEERING USING CAMERA AND LIDAR ON DRONES” — developed by Rover Infraestructuras, is במסגרת the 2021 call for grants aimed at research and development projects in artificial intelligence (AI) and other digital technologies, and their integration into value chains (C005/21‑ED) of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation. These projects are funded through NextGenerationEU European funds under the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.
The AICEDRONE project is conceived as a system to automate and enhance processes in civil engineering construction, through the development of software tools that integrate the latest advances in AI, drones with onboard sensors (robotics), and high‑performance computing, including laser measurement technologies and computer vision.
The project is scheduled for completion in March 2024, with a total budget exceeding €400,000, and includes the collaboration of the University of Castilla‑La Mancha.
