Construction project for the Avenida de Salamanca – Intermodal Station section of the TRAM network.
A 70‑meter tunnel will be constructed to connect with the existing station beneath an avenue. To carry out the works, a pile wall system will be used to form the retaining structure. Subsequently, a mixed slab top‑cover (cut‑and‑cover method) will be installed, and excavation will proceed in open cut with temporary falsework to connect both stations.
Among the key equipment used in the construction of this intermodal station within the Tram network is specialized piling machinery for rock conditions and equipment for tunnel construction using conventional methods. This specific machinery will be used to build the new Tram station, located next to the existing ADIF railway station, as well as its connection.
The project will significantly improve urban connectivity, streamline traffic flow, and provide the area with a more modern and accessible station for all users.
