Diaphragm wall equipment
Hydromill
BAUER BCS 185
BAUER BCS 185 hydromill unit, equipped with a BC‑35 cutter and a real‑time verticality control system (B‑Tronic).
This equipment enables the construction of diaphragm walls in difficult ground conditions, where conventional diaphragm wall methods are not feasible, reaching depths of up to 70 meters and thicknesses of 1,000 mm, with rigorous control of excavation verticality.
The cutter is equipped with cutting wheels for mixed ground, capable of operating in alluvial soils (gravels and sands), as well as in weathered rock, cemented sands, and conglomerates, with uniaxial compressive strengths exceeding 60 MPa.
The B‑Tronic system provides the operator with real‑time information on the cutter position and drilling parameters, including:
- Deviation along two perpendicular axes
- Inclination in two directions
- Rotation about its own axis
- Pressures and temperatures of the cutting wheels and hydraulic circuit
The cutter is fitted with stabilizers that can be activated by the operator in real time to correct deviations, meeting very strict drilling tolerances.
The B‑Tronic system has a permanent Internet connection, enabling remote data download and the generation of verticality reports.
The system is complemented by a state‑of‑the‑art MAT plant for the treatment and processing of bentonite slurry, allowing both its production and recycling.
In addition, ROVER operates auxiliary LIEBHERR HS 855 HD cranes for reinforcement cage installation and concreting operations.
