Award of the road storage facility in Vallbona, Barcelona

The construction consists of the underground of the conventional line that connects Barcelona with the French border inland.

The work, commissioned by ADIF, consists of upgrading 1,520 m of conventional track, 720 m of which will be underground, through the construction of a concrete box that is to be executed by the cut and cover method.

ROVER GROUP has acquired a hydrofrac to operate the screens of this drawer. The screens range from 22 to 35 meters deep and are excavated in rock.

Currently the R2 commuter line is used by 135,000 users daily.

The project must be carried out while maintaining the railway service, for which it is planned to carry out different railway detours.

More than 100,000 m3 of concrete will be poured

50,000 m2 of rock screens with hydroplane will be executed
