A reward for Rover’s commitment to restoring the infrastructure affected by the Dana

Premios 1
The Generalitat Valencia awarded different companies in recognition of the work of this last year in the recovery of mobility and transport after the flood.

Yesterday, Monday, September 22, almost a year after the Dana, the Generalitat Valencia wanted to show its gratitude to “the real protagonists” of the recovery of the infrastructures affected by the flood with these awards. The event in the Saló de Corts del Palau, chaired by Carlos Mazón, President of the Valencian Generalitat, raised the level of rapid action of these companies, among which is Rover Group. Mazón during his speech pointed out the effort of all the awarded companies saying that “they have made this recovery possible in less than a year”. Rover, as one of the winners, also congratulates the rest of the team and thanks the work of all their team involved in the recovery works.

The performance of Rover in the recovery of the Valencia South station of Metrovalencia

The Valencian community had from the beginning the focus on recovering the section Valencia South-Castelló de Metrovalencia as soon as possible. Rover has been involved in the Valencia Sud station to restore this connection. And, in eight months, the line has been successfully reestablished. Note that Rover has not been the only construction company to devote its material, technological and human resources to this task. This project has been a team effort by more than 500 engineers and operators.

A year after the catastrophe, Rover remains committed to its mission of connecting people. The works continue on their course, and the new Valencia Sud station is under construction. The Minister of Environment, Infrastructures and Territory, Vicente Martínez Mus, visited the area on 15 September for his agenda to celebrate the European Week of Mobility, being able to certify its good progress. With the invested budget of the Generalitat, this new station was planned in order to create a more modern, functional and accessible station.

A joint effort to restore mobility

The award is for each of Rover’s employees, because without them this important work could not have been done. A symbolic award, which has also been created from reeds collected from the affected beaches. A symbol that “this earth will always go forward” as Mazón predicted in his speech, and which Rover supports.
